The treatment

Dermal fillers are used to fill in or plump out lines and wrinkles caused by the aging process. These lines can be caused by environmental damage, sun damage, or simply as a result of the way we use our facial muscles. With age the quantity of hyaluronic acid (HA) naturally decreases in the skin, wrinkles appear and the skin becomes thinner and drier. The wrinkle-filling substance helps to solve these problems.

Dermal fillers The consultation may take up to 20 minutes, then 15-30 minutes for the treatment itself, depending on the area to be treated. Dermal filler treatment involves usually the injection of hyaluronic acid (a substance that occurs naturally in healthy skin), directly into the wrinkle contour. Hyaluronic acid is completely broken down within the skin over a period of months, eventually leaving no trace of the filler. The HA based fillers are completely biocompatible with the hyaluronic acid which is already present in the body. It binds water in the skin, ensuring its hydration, tone, flexibility and smoothness.

For patients who are allergic to hyaluronic acid, or their skin breaks it down faster than usual, leaving them unsatisfied with the results of the treatment, Remake is the answer. Remake is also resorbable facial filler, it is made of polyethylene glycol. Remake meets all necessary safety criteria in regards to biocompatibility, absence of toxicity, non-mutagenicity, non-absorbability, non-migration and degradation. One comparative study of Remake and a hyaluronic acid filler demonstrated that by the third month degradation of hyaluronic acid was twice as fast as degradation of Remake.

Remake and hyaluronic acid can be applied on different areas of the face. Hyaluronic acid is recommended for treating superficial wrinkles, and wrinkles around the eyes and mouth; application on these areas brings long term results. Remake is applied for treating the lips and deep wrinkles. After the doctor examines the patient, he recommends the optimal treatment.

After the treatment you will see immediate results – smoother, softer, more youthful skin – and in many cases the line is literally erased. A local anesthetic is used to numb the area, and some redness may be experienced for a short period following the treatment. Results will last for about 6 months.
