Dracula therapy

Dermal fillers are used to fill wrinkles associated with ageing and are also widely used to shape the lips.

The PRP treatment or Dracula therapy

Commonly known as Dracula Therapy, PRP treatment aims to use cell-renewing substances found in the patient's own blood to

  • rejuvenate your skin,

  • slow down the ageing process

  • and maintain the results achieved in the long term.

Dracula Therapy can be used to smooth wrinkles and folds, renew cells and refresh sagging and dry skin.

The big advantage of PRP treatment over other wrinkle-filling procedures is that it does not cause an allergic reaction, as it is performed with the body's own cells.

In which areas can Dracula therapy be used?

Dracula therapy can be used on the whole body, but is most often used to rejuvenate the face, neck, décolletage and back of the hands.

What happens during PRP treatment or Dracula therapy?

During PRP or Dracula therapy, 10-20 ml of blood taken from the patient's body in the usual way is broken down into its constituent parts using a centrifuge (a 10-20 minute procedure), so that the whey is separated from the red blood cells. The healing and regenerative effects of protein-rich whey have long been known in medicine and are often used in orthopaedics and even dentistry.

Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP), the yellow liquid (the whey) that accumulates at the top of the ampoule after centrifugation, is collected in syringes and is rich in growth factors and proteins that promote cell renewal. The resulting whey is 2 to 8 times richer in platelets than normal plasma and can be enriched with vitamins and amino acids during the process.

In Dracula therapy, this serum is reintroduced into the skin using one of the techniques used in mesotherapy procedures: a syringe, a mesotherapy gun or a mesoroller, applied to the area to be treated or to the face, from the hairline to the jawline. When injecting, particular attention is paid to the treatment of the crow's feet, the forehead, the smile lines and the area between the glabella, or eyebrows. During the procedure, a superficial anaesthetic is used.

Why is Dracula therapy so effective?

PRP treatment or Dracula Therapy stimulates the regeneration and growth of collagen cells in the skin, inhibits the skin's ageing process, reduces wrinkles and scars, and makes even dry, dull skin smoother, more refreshed and youthful. Because the injected serum is rich in natural proteins and growth factors, Drakula therapy results in the formation of new collagen and elastin fibres to restore lost elasticity and new blood vessels, improving the metabolism, hydration and oxygenation of the treated area.

PRP treatment or Dracula Therapy takes advantage of the body's normal healing processes and regenerative capacity at an accelerated rate. Normally, during wound healing, there is a higher concentration of platelets or thrombocytes in the area of injury, as well as growth factors and proteins that help to form new, more elastic tissue. Dracula therapy involves artificially increasing the concentration of these wound healing cells to rejuvenate the skin and significantly improve its texture.

Good to know after Dracula therapy/PRP treatment:

  • As an immediate result of the treatment, you may even experience an improvement and smoothing of wrinkles, but this is not permanent, as only the water molecules of the serum temporarily fill the folds, and after their absorption, the pre-treatment state may even return. The effects of Drakula therapy take months to take effect: 3-4 weeks after treatment, improvements are already visible and can last up to 12-18 months.

  • For 3 weeks after the treatment, any treatment involving heating the treated area, wraps, tanning beds and saunas are prohibited. These procedures will accelerate the breakdown of the active ingredients injected during Drakula therapy and therefore compromise the effectiveness of the treatment. After three weeks, any treatment can be used.

  • In addition to Drakula therapy, adequate daily fluid intake, optimally 2-4 litres of non-carbonated water, is also important to increase the hydration of the wine. This is recommended for everyone!

  • After the treatment, there may be some redness and slight oedema at the needle puncture sites, but this should disappear by the next morning.

  • The needle marks may remain for a few days, but the next day you can cover them with make-up and return to your daily activities without any problems.

  • To achieve optimal results from Dracula therapy, a course of three treatments is required over six months, with results lasting 1.5 to 2 years. The 2nd treatment takes place 4 weeks after the first and the 3rd treatment within six months.

  • The effectiveness of treatments may vary from individual to individual. Typically 3 treatments will give the expected result, but this cannot be guaranteed, so in some cases more treatments may be needed.

  • A single maintenance treatment every six months is recommended for a long-lasting effect.

  • Dracula therapy with any other cosmetic procedure (pl. lézeres mélyhámlasztás, ráncfeltöltés, mezoterápia, stb.) can be combined.

The patient cannot be treated:
  • treated with steroids or anticoagulants,

  • febrile illness,

  • active skin disease in the treated area (e.g. psoriasis, eczema),

  • haematological disease,

  • active herpes in the treated area,

  • autoimmune disease,

  • chronic liver disease,

  • blood clotting problems,

  • cancer,

  • any inflammatory disease.
